I have what appears to be a hair BUMP (not lump) in my right armpit, it is very sore because my arm laying on it has irritated it. Again it is not a lump. How do I get rid of it?

Cynthia, so, you feel it's more on top of your skin, like a pimple, rather than inside? Or it's really near the surface? It could be just that - a pimple. Or a boil. Or an abscess... Could be an infected lymph node, too. I'd suggest warm compresses, but if that doesn't seem to be doing any good after a day or so, you'd best go to the doctor and see what's up. Even if you interpret this as a bump, not a lump, it's best to have any bumps/lumps in your breast/armpit examined by a doctor, OK? Besides, you don't want it to get worse, if it's an infection. Take care - PJH
