Ms. M, that's all ''worst case scenario." The only thing I do on a regular basis (and I had mastectomy/3 lymph nodes) is have blood work and blood pressure done on the non-affected arm. I did get lymphedema about a year after treatment; had the symptoms for about a year, then luckily pretty much got rid of it. My arm swells occasionally now, but I know when it will (heavy, prolonged exercise), and I wear an elastic sleeve for it.   I'd say, be sensible. Don't weigh your affected shoulder down with a 30 lb. shoulder bag! If it's normal weight (doesn't feel heavy, doesn't tire you out), should be OK. If you get a cut, use antibiotic ointment. Ditto a burn. The only reason for no razor shaving is if you cut yourself - if you're careful... I use an electric razor because I always did, but if you can shave without cutting yourself, should be OK. Weightlifting is actually good for you - just don't overdo it. The key is DON'T DO ANYTHING TO EXHAUSTION. A lighter bag; lighter weights; don't rake the yard for hours on end... again, be sensible. With just 2 lymph nodes out you have much less chance then women who've had lots of nodes out, so the statistics are on your side.   Don't sweat it, OK? Take care of yourself without making yourself crazy with worry. Life is good; enjoy it! PJH
