Hi Natalie! I'm glad to hear that you and your doctor discussed things further and now you have a better understanding of your risks.  The numbers do seems high to me as well, but in all honesty I sometimes think it's all a crap shoot. I can't honestly say whether or not you need some type of treatment or another, but I can say that you deserve to know and fully understand all of your options and risks - and that you should not only be informed about all these things, but that you should be included in your treatment.  Doctors have become so accustomed to not explaining things to people, that we often don't know what we've gotten ourselves into.  I think it's better for you to know and decided if you want to gamble your future on 18%.
