Victoria, this would have to be done by a surgeon. And I'm not sure of the exact procedure, though I do know surgeons are generally unwilling to remove the wire. Leaving it in place allows a radiologist reading your future mammograms to pay special attention to that area, as well as to see if scar tissue has developed – which might look suspicious, unless the doctor knows it's from a previous biopsy. So, unless you have a good reason for removing it, it's best to leave that tiny wire in place.
If you do decide you want it removed, it should be able to happen with minimal loss of breast tissue, I'd assume using the same type of procedure as the original biopsy. As I said, you'll probably have a hard time convincing a surgeon to do this procedure; but if you're determined, don't give up. There must be someone somewhere who'll help you. Take care- PJH
