Will a breast expander set off the metal detector at the airport? My wife and I are taking a trip a
My wife had a simple mastectomy last month and we are planning a vacation. She is concerned that her expander will set off the metal detector.

It shouldn't as the metal piece is very small - but as I recently learned, as long as they are in you cannot have an MRI of any kind done, but that's because an MRI is magnetic and very sensitive.
