When the 5 year arimidex treatment is completed will the hot flashes stop or at least diminish.

Barbara, there's just no telling, unfortunately. On paper, they should diminish; without the Arimidex fighting with your estrogen, some of that estrogen (small though it is, since you're post-menopausal) does manage to make its way into your cells, which should help quell the hot flashes. But everyone reacts differently; you'll just have to wait and see. Best of luck - PJH
