Just Diagnosed with Cancer? Chat with Experts

Tuesday, October 14, 2008 Jonesie85 asks

Q: I have a hard round ball-shaped lump, attached to my breast plate.

A couple of weeks ago, I found a hard, round, ball or colliflower shaped lump on my chest plate at the beginning of my right breast. I can move it a little, but it appears to be attached to my chest plate, or ribs, or whatever is inside there. When I lean over while feeling it I can feel that it goes deeper. There is no redness, no raised skin, it can't be a psychotic in grown hair so what is it? There are no other bumps in my breasts, and I'm twenty-three and no one in my family has had breast cancer. Should I be worried?
