I have gone thru all the reconstruction except having the areola tattoed. Where to go?

Unfortunately I have yet to make it that far, and find myself somewhat jealous - though I am happy for you!

 

My understanding, what I was told by my plastic surgeon was that he would construct the nipple if I chose to have one, then probably refer me to a place that does like perm. makeup and they would tattoo the areolas.

So I would ask your surgeon who he/she recommends.

Deborah, the same plastic surgeon who did your reconstruction should be able to do your areola. If not, (s)he should at least be able to give you the name of someone who can do it. Ask at your hospital. Hope it goes well for you- PJH
