Q: I a male 39 years old and I have a hard painless pea sized lump in my armpit which has gradually got hard over about a year? WHat do you think?

Hi - I think you should see your doctor. There's no telling what this is; it would be very unusual for it to be breast cancer, since only about 1,900 American men a year are disgnosed with breast cancer; and then, usually in the breast itself. Also, if it were cancer, you'd probably have noticed that it grew in size over the course of a year. Still, any new growth in your body, you want to know what it is. So contact your doctor, OK?
