Q: i have a raised lymph node in my left breast cud this be cancer

i have had a right mastecomy in may and undergoing chemo trial at the moment i have had ct scan and they detected this raised lymph node in my left breast they are going to make a decision either i have biopsy or see a surgeon but i need to now if it cud be the cancer returned.

Denise, indeed it could be cancer. But it could be any number of other things, too. Lymph nodes become enlarged whenever there's an infection or something else unusual going on in your body; they're like a first-alert system. There's nothing you can do right now other than wait and see what the doctor's recommended next step will be. I assume they'll want to find out what's causing the enlargement, one way or another. So try to stay positive as you wait - and good luck. - PJH
