I'm sorry to hear that your mother's cancer is getting worse.  Her treatment options depend on where the cancer spread and on her overall health.  This article about metastatic breast cancer may give you some more information about metastatic breast cancer in general.  The kind of hormonal treatments she has received so far are sometimes very effective in controlling metastatic disease when the tumor is estrogen receptor positive.  Often chemo is an element of treating metastatic disease as well.  If your mother has never had a consult at a comprehensive cancer center, scheduling an appointment to be sure that she is getting the newest in treatment options might be a good idea.
