Hi Ms: A lump that you're had for 4-5 years, that's movable and hurts, and you're 23 years old - probably not cancer. However, why not go fiind out what it is, so you can stop worrying about it, AND perhaps get something for the pain? Best to see the doctor. Good luck - PJH

No it sounds more like a fibroadenoma which is a benign( non cancerous) tumor. Fibroadenoma is the most common benign tumor of the breast and the most common breast tumor in women under age 30. Fibroadenomas are usually found as single lumps. Symptoms are: Lumps may be * Firm * Moveable * Painless * Rubbery. You should have a doctor check it out. You can go to www.myoptumhealth.com and type fibroadenoma in search box to get more information.
