Q: i am 28yrs old and i am haveing tenderness on my left side breast and it hurts if i lay down on my side or my stomoch and if my boyfriend touch it it hurts..

Carrie, many women have one breast larger than the other. If one side has always been larger, then you don't need to be concerned. If this is a recent change, then it could be a symptom of a problem like an infection or maybe even cancer. Many women have pain and tenderness right before their periods, but if this is a new problem for you, you need to have it checked out. If this problem just started, you could watch it for a while to see if it gets better. However, if this has gone on for a month or more, make an appointment with a doctor. Probably all will check out to be OK, but you will want to be sure.
