Q: Can a lump in the breast of a 21 year old girl, that lost a baby at 12 weeks pregnant earlier this year, be a milk duct. It is on the left side of the left breast.

Yes, it could be a blocked milk duct, but a doctor will need to check to be sure.  Breast cancer is extremely rare in women in their 20's, so don't panic.   If it is a milk duct issue or a cyst, it might resolve on its own.  Because it could be an infection or another problem needing a doctor's attention, it is important to see a doctor if the lump has been there more than a month.
