will i gain weight during FEC treatment

I had a lumpectomy in April and I am due to start FEC treatment in 2 weeks which will be followed by radiotherapy and herceptin.  I am a little worried about weight gain as I have been told that this is sometimes the case.  I have already gained nearly a stone since last year when I gave up smoking even though I have tried to watch what I eat.  Is it possible to control weight gain during treatment.

Mizz, I did FEC and didn't gain weight... though going into chemical menopause afterwards did put the pounds on. I took them off again, however.

Take a look at our FAQS on FEC:

Best of luck! Hope you sail right through it. I found it not nearly as bad as I'd been led to believe... worrying about losing your hair is the worst part. Then you lose it, and -well, so what! My best wishes are going with you, Mizz- PJH
