mass in breast looks like shattered rocks

I had a mamogram and ultrasound done they found 2 lumps which said needed to be biopsied and also another mass that the doctor said looked like shattered broken rocks spreading down the breast towards my nipple the dr. said had to be removed what exactly does that mean and how do they remove that...
