Can you stop taking Cipro between days if you're going to drink?

I'm gonna start taking Cipro today because I have a unrinary tract infection. But I'm going to have some drinks with my family on Thanksgiving and I wanna know if it will stop working if I skip a day and start back taking it the next day since I'm going to drink?

This is a breast cancer site, and we don't have any information about urinary tract infections. Generally speaking, once you start an antibiotic, you need to take it straight through without skipping doses.
