Everyone says I have a rare type of cancer. On the report, it says "Rare Foci of Ductal carcinoma in-situ". What is that?

Hi - Ductal carcinoma in site (DCIS) is a fairly common breast cancer - the only type considered completely curable.  The "rare foci" part, I couldn't tell you. Maybe there's something else in your pathology report that makes it unusual? Best to ask your doctor about this, OK? Good luck - and stay in touch here. We can help - PJH
