Q: my left breast has been itching for two years now

Somtimes it itches so much i feel like getting a knife and digging out what ever is bothering me so much! its  not the skin its inside my breast. The doc just gave in steroid cream but i know its not my skin! no rash or anything like that, just the same spot that drives me nuts every day for over two years ive even made the skin go darker on the itchy spot but there is no scabs or reddness ect just looks normal.

Now i feel a throbbing pain inside too, do you think it sounds like anything? i dare not feel for any lumps!  Im 28 years old

Itching for 2 years wouldn't be a typical breast cancer symptom, Becca; cancer is progressive, and worsens noticeably over time. This sounds like it might be hormonal; but whatever it is, you need to see a breast specialist. Your GP isn't equipped to deal with this kind of issue, so ask for a referral to a doctor who specializes in breast issues, OK? They're often found at cancer centers, as that's where most of the "business" is; but they also treat many other breast issues besides cancer. Hope you get some relief soon - PJH
