Hi Diane - If your doctor is independent (not affiliated with a hospital), then I'd imagine all you can do is go to the office and stand in front of them and tell them you're sorry the doctor is ill, but you're stressed, and you'd like your biopsy result forwarded to another doctor - whomever is covering for your doctor while he's out. If he's affiliated with a hospital, then see the hospital social workers - they'll help you figure out how to get those results without further delay. Good luck - PJH

There should always be a doctor on call to help you with what to do in an emergency situation.  Questions about problems with healing in your incision qualify in that area.  So even though it's Sunday, I'd suggest calling with your questions about the blood clot.  Getting information about the biopsy report will have to wait until the work week.  If your doctor isn't well by Monday, follow PJ's suggestions.  It's not uncommon for biopsy reports to take a week to ten days to come in, but if someone has the results, you shouldn't have to wait just because your doctor is ill.
