Cathy, sounds like you're starting to go through menopause, perhaps. How long ago did you have a mammogram? If over a year, schedule another one soon. Any breast lumps should be examined by a doctor. And, although very unlikely, an itchy nipple can be a sign of a rare form of breast cancer, Paget's disease. So don't stress out; but do call the doctor, simply so you can see what's going on and set your mind at ease. Good luck - PJH

If this is in both nipples, Pamela, it's likely to be an allergic issue, or hormonal. If it's really bothering you, best to see a doctor, OK? And please read our post on nipple issues. Good luck - PJH
