Hi Leeanne - First, please try to relax. What you describe isn't a breast cancer symptom, and it's incredibly unlikely that this is cancer. I'm suspecting the lump is probably part of the infection you had, or perhaps some scar tissue. At any rate, for peace of mind why not go back to the doctor and ask for some testing to determine what this lump is? I'll bet you'll feel a whole lot better when they're able to tell you what it is, and what, if anything, can be done about it. Good luck - PJH
