Hi there,

I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time.

While breast cancer is not usually painful, there is a rare form of breast cancer (inflammatory breast cancer or IBC) which can be painful. Your pain is very likely caused by something else but I would encourage you to see a doctor as soon as you can, if only to ease your fears.

Take good care-

Laurie

Mauva, good for you, for being aware of breast changes, and how they can come and go with your period. You could have some benign fibrocystic changes going on; perhaps even a little muscle pull... there's no telling. Laurie is right, cancer is very seldom painful; but you might as well get checked out by the doctor, to see what's going on and if you can get any relief for it. Good luck - PJH
