Carla, while itching can be a symptom of a rare form of breast cancer, IBC, it would be very unusual for it to go on for 6 months without turning into something much more serious (swelling, pain, redness, dimpled skin). This sounds like it could be a hormonal issue. At any rate, after 6 months, it's time to see the doctor and find out what's causing this, and have it treated. It sounds quite uncomfortable! Good luck - PJH
