Angie, neither of the symptoms you mention is typical of breast cancer. Sore breasts are almost always a hormonal issue, especially if the soreness affects both breasts. Even if it's just on one side, breast pain is seldom a symptom of cancer. And I've never heard of any connection between allergies and breast cancer.
I'm sorry for the loss of your sister; and no doubt her passing has you worried about breast cancer, and looking for signs of it in yourself. Your risk is increased, as you now have a family history; but your risk is low to begin with, and isn't increased by much.
One caveat: if you carry the BRCA1 or II genes, your risk might be much higher than you think. Our post on genetic testing will help you decide if testing is something you should consider. Best of luck to you - and again, condolences on your sister's passing. PJH
