Q: I have a pea sized hard lump on the outside of my left breast. it is underneath and on the inside of the left breast. it is very solid and fixed. any suggestions please.

Frances, if you've had the lump longer than a few weeks, it would qualify as a breast change; and all breast changes should be seen by a doctor, OK? You might need some diagnostic screening. Chances are this is NOT breast cancer; the majority of lumps are due to some other cause. But it would be irresponsible not to rule cancer out. Good luck, and I hope this turns out to be something minor. PJH
