Getting light pain in my left breast when touched. Doctor says it may be a symtom for cancer .

Had mastectomy last July on my right. Undergone radiation and chemo. This pain does not occur till 10 days after period. Period is regular and excessive for a day.ER/PR negative on my right.Am 42 and worried.Mammo clear.

Hi - Considering the way you describe your pain, I'm totally surprised your doctor would say it might be a cancer symptom. In general, pain isn't a breast cancer symptom. And if it is, it doesn't come and go in synch with your period. And your mammogram is clear. Everything seems to be pointing to some other issue. I'd assume this is hormonal. Perhaps your PCP would help you with it? - PJH
