Lori, soreness in both breasts is unlikely to be a symptom of breast cancer; breast pain seldom is. If you've asked your doctor about this and s/he can't help, perhaps posting this same question on our menopause site would be useful. There are probably other women who've experienced this, and they may have some homegrown remedies for you to try. Good luck - PJH
Lori, some women are sensitive to caffeine, so you could see if cutting it out helps. If you still have ovaries and the soreness is right before you would have had your period, fluid retention is probably part of the problem. You could try cutting back on salt and sugar. Be sure you have new cysts checked out to make sure that they are indeed cysts. If a particularly large cyst is painful, you can have it drained in the doctor's office. Make sure your bra fits properly and offers enough support. Pain is not a typical breast cancer symptom, especially when it is in both breasts, but if you do notice a change in one breast, you will want to have a doctor check you out.
