This is a breast cancer website, so we don't have any experts to help you with the medical issues involved with your mother's cancer.  I can tell you from my own experience with an aggressive cancer that it can be very helpful to go to a different cancer for a second opinion when the options seem limited.  You will feel more confident that you understand the options open to your mother and that she is getting the best standard of care.
