Problems with the thyroid can affect menstrual cycles and fertility, so it could certainly cause breast symptoms. Usually hormonal issues affect both breasts, so if this pain has lasted longer than a few weeks, I'd suggest calling the doctor. This article on breast pain can help you evaluate your situation. Discharge when squeezing is very common and is not usually worrisome.
