I'm so sorry you're having this tough reaction. And you absolutely need to report it to your oncologist, and I mean ASAP. If the pills they gave you don't work, there are others they can try. And others beyond them. This is no time to suffer in silence - call them first thing tomorrow, and describe what's happened to you, just as you did here. Tell them you're thinking of discontinuing treatment, if it continues like this. I'm sure they'll figure out something to help you. Good luck - PJH

I had similar issues... I had my first treatment and despite being atheist by the end of the night I was praying for death. I just had Adriamycin... but I suspect its the C in that chemical cocktail you're getting is making your toss your cookies. Taxol wasn't that harsh for me...

Believe it or not... your oncologist isn't trying to kill you in the most heinous way possible though it might seem like it from your first treatment. It IS your first treatment so you didn't know what to expect. Now you do. CALL your oncologist and tell them that you're really sick and they will get you what you need to feel less like the living dead. They really are good about making you feel comfortable. DON'T suffer in silence as PJ says. Okay?

The only anti-barf medicine that worked for me was a product called Emend, the zofran did NOTHING for me. For your next treatment ask if you can have that. I bet you'll feel much better and you'll know you can make it through treatment.

As for bone pain. Take claritin (the stuff for allergies). I know it sounds weird by my oncologist said for some super strange reason his patients say it helps with the Nulasta bone pain. I didn't have bone pain when I took it so its true.

You're gonna be okay. I know its scary and miserable and not fair... but you can do this. I'm sending you love and good health!

As PJ and Racuh have already said, don't suffer with this.  Let the oncologist know.  I'm writing mainly to answer  your question about whether every treatment will be the same or whether it will get worse.  I had nausea trouble on treatments #1 and #3, and much less severe side effects on the other 6 treatments.  In my case, there was no progression.  If the shot for the blood cells has been the worst part, your doctor might let you skip that on the next treatment and see how your blood counts hold up.  The purpose of that shot is to reduce fatigue and prevent infections you might get from the lowered white blood cell count.
