Hi Mary - so sorry your biopsy was difficult. Perhaps you had a core needle biopsy, which uses a larger-bore needle and thus is more invasive. Or perhaps the radiologist inadvertently hit a nerve or nerve bundle. Whatever happened, I would definitely check in with your doctor and see what's up. No need to suffer - they can give you something for the pain. And by now, you must have the results of the biopsy, right? So you know whether or not you have cancer,and whether you'll be seing the doctor soon anyway... At any rate, be sure to see someone soon. And good luck- PJH
