Mary, I'm not a biologist, but chemo does more damage to your white blood cells than your red (which are the ones hurt by anemia). As for radiation, I don't believe it affects blood cells significantly. That said - this is definitely a question to ask your doctor. (S)hemust know that you have pernicisous anemia, and certainly won't prescribe any treatment that's going to be detrimental to your overall health. Good luck with your next step on the path- PJH
