Q: what does Angiolymphatic invasin mean Ion my path report idetified in a slice of my sentinel node

Barb, unfortunately it means the cancer has reached your sentinel node. So you'll most likely have to have chemo. (Unless "angiolymphatic invasion" says "no" or "negative" or "not seen" next to it...) Please read our Guide to Understanding Your Pathology Report for lots of helpful information about how to interpret what you're reading. Good luck - PJH

Pj I was given the choice of chemo or hormone treatment no brainer no chemo. that was six years ago. My oncologist really wanted the chemo ,but he gave me a choice. I had already made up my mind before the appointment no chemo. My doc was very surprised to hear me say no chemo before all his satistics and percentages speech.

I became very up on my cancer and read and did so much reseach ,and I went over the path report scored( 7 ). and just recently began to wonder about the angiolymphatic invasiion . Why I wonder about it now not sure??

I was told everyting was clear nodes and margins.It was the A1 slice that it was found in out 6 slices from the sentinel node the other slices must have been clear.
