They seem huge! My PS used the star flap - skin flaps on my breast to make a 3D nipple. I'm currently wearing the silicone shields over the nipples.
This is the last surgery in my reconstruction after a bi-lateral mastectomy (Hooray!). I will have areola tattoo in November.
We all heal differently, so no telling how long before the swellng goes down. Several weeks? A month? If they're really too large, once they settle in to their final size/shape, you might ask the PS for a reduction... Patience; you're nearly there. Good luck - PJH
