Hi - I don't believe you're going to change your boss. You could try for an intervention - a facilitated conversation with your HR department (if you have one?). Other than that - I think, unfortunately, you're fighting a losing battle. Some people, unless they go there themselves, have very little empathy for those of us who've dealt with serious illness. They don't care about the person - they care about the work product. If your boss is like this - then, as I said, I don't believe you'll change him/her... Anyone else have any better advice here? PJH
