I have a small while bump/spot on the side of my right breast.  I can feel something underneath the skin, but I am not sure if this is a lump or something else. It does not seem like it is a skin issue... what could it be?

I had a baby 3 months ago and was breastfeeding up until 5 wks ago.

Julia, probably this will turn out to be related to stopping breast feeding.  You might have a blocked milk duct or an infection.  If this lasts more than a week or two, I'd suggest seeing a doctor.  Of course, if you develop other signs of infection like redness, swelling, or a fever, don't wait.  Call the doctor right away.  There are many breast changes after pregnancy and lactation, so I don't think you need to panic about this.  Just keep an eye on it.
