I have been too the doctor with the 2 sores on my breast but he says it is not CANCER because blood is not coming out of my nipple? I should add there are 3 sores now. I just want anwsers my mamogram was abnormal but he never explained what it was. they actually feel like tiny needles pricking me. A bra is too uncomfortable too wear although I do wear one when I go out.Can someone explain this please?

Hi - This sounds like a very confusing situation, and not sure if the confusion comes from the doctor, or from miscommunication between you. Having an "abnormal" mammogram without further diagnostic tests isn't acceptable; neither is "it's not cancer because there's no blood coming out of your nipple." I'd suggest you ask for a long enough appointment with your doctor to get some answers - like, what's up with the mammogram? And, why are these sores on my breast not being diagnosed and treated? You'll have to advocate for yourself here, OK? You need to find out what's causing the sores, and get them taken care of. Good luck - PJH

I am a 24 year old mother of 3. A week ago I noticed this red area on my breast, it is raised, swollen slightly, and scalish like, the skin peeled off the top of it. I have had cellulitis in the past on my extremities and face, while this looks similiar, it is only similiar that way. I have heard of IBC and other diseases that cause these with out any other noticing factors. What scares me is that I'm in medical classes now and I see all these diseases. But I cannot diagnose myself, can anyone give me any insight until I can get to the doctor. Relief, yet truthful would really be helpful. Thank and Bless You. Gwen

Open sores are not an inflammatory breast cancer symptom. The feeling of heaviness might be. I agree with the other responders that you need to either go back to your current doctor and ask more questions about that abnormal mammogram, and ask why these sore are spreading, not getting better; or see a specialist.
