Sharon, there's no medication that can prevent breast cancer. I'd suggest you talk to your PCP (primary doctor) about how to be alert to changes in your breasts; what would be worrisome, what not. You might also ask about genetic testing, which would give you a better idea if it truly does run in your family, or if it's just chance... Good luck - PJH
