my girlfriend is 22 and i think she has breast cancer
my grilfriend is 22 and she had cancer before just below her shoulder,the lump was removed and the docs did radiotherapy.now she has a lump on her breast and she tells me hurts,can someone help on telling me further regarding the problem,and if it maybe breast cancer then what can the chemotherapy do and the life expectancy..thanks for your time
Sal, your girlfriend needs to call her doctor right away. The lump she had before may or may not be related to this new one. Most lumps that women find in their breasts turn out to be benign, and that is especially true for lumps that hurt. Even when lumps do turn out to be cancer, new treatment methods have greatly reduced the death rate. However, since your girlfriend has a history of cancer, she needs to be very prompt in reporting any changes in her body to her doctor. I hope she gets good news.
