This article about understanding your pathology report may help you with some of the terminology in your report.  It is possible to have cancer that has spread to your lymph nodes that hasn't gone any farther.  I had 16 positive lymph nodes twelve years ago, and I've been fine ever since.  You will know more about your situation once you get all the information about where the primary tumor is.  I'm sure this is very anxiety provoking situation, but thank goodness the lymph node gave a warning about what is apparently happening in your breast.

Hi - As Phyllis says, it's not a given that the cancer has spread any farther than that single node. My cancer had spread to the lymph nodes, and that was 9 years ago - I'm fine. Hopefully your experience will mimic Phyllis' and mine. Good luck - PJH
