How many stages to Invasive/Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma (IDC)? I want to know what is considered an advanced case.

Hi Keturah - Breast cancer is divided into four stages — I, II, III, IV — each with sub-stages (e.g., II-A, etc.). Stage IV is considered advanced. Stage III, if it's considered quite aggressive (e.g., III-B), MIGHT be considered advanced. Please read our Guide to Understanding Your Pathology Report for lots more informaiotn on breast cancer staging. Good luck - PJH
