Q: I have an occasional sharp shooting pain in my my right breast. I am a breast feeding mother

I occasionally have a sharp pain in my right breast. I am breast feeding a 4 month old baby.

Allison, I would guess this is something hormonal, or even something muscular or nerve-related, considering you're breast feeding. Breast cancer is very, very seldom marked by pain. But if it's bothering you, why not go get it checked out? Good luck - PJH
