Like any kind of invasive cancer, Brenda, IDC can return. Whether or not it's spread to her lymph nodes will tell the story. If it hasn't spread, it almost certainly won't return. If it has, her risk of recurrence is higher. Good luck to both of you as she goes forward with treatment - PJH
