Yes, in most women if you had straight hair, and it grows back curly, it'll eventually calm down. It may not ever be as straight as it was, but it probably won't be as curly as it is now - more of a just a wave than a tight curl. Hope this helps - PJH

It's been eleven years since my chemo, and my hair, which was very straight before chemo, is still a little wavy, but not as curly as it was for the first two or three years after chemo.  But everyone is different.  I've also heard of people whose previously curly hair came back straight, and of people whose hair is coarser or finer than it was previously.  I found it took a while to get used to my new hair and learn how to style it.

I agree with Phyllis - my hair still has some wave, 7 years later, though it's definitely calmed down from the "Harpo Marx" look. Phyllis, if you figure out how to style it - let me know! I'm SO fighting with my hair right now, deciding whether to let it grow, chop it off, get a perm, rely on blow-drying... it was actually much easier when it was curly! Smile PJH

I just leave my hair short on the sides and back and leave it curly on top. I get alot of compliments. My hair seems to have lost some of the initial curl...just calmed down a little so it is more spiked now than curly. I have a chubby face so long hair on the sides does not work for me. I have never worn my hair without bangs......The bangs pretty well stand up and curly so I just spray it UP...I'll send a pic if you want to see it.

Sure, I'd love to see a picture, Barbie! I have bangs, too, but they're so long now and I can't decide if I want to grow them out... Thanks- PJH
