whether lymp nodes to break out

Hi ,

 

My mother aged 53 years. She had a tumor in right breast. Results were

 

_ Invasive ductal carcinoma

 

_ Tumor size was 3 cm

 

_ Lymph nodes result (chronic  Non-spesific lymphadenitis)

 

Please explain the results. Thank you very mauch for your help.

Elia, I'm sorry your mother has cancer. But at least it's a very common kind, and the doctors have all kinds of ways to treat it. A 3cm tumor is average-sized; not really small, but not overwhelmingly large, either. I'm not sure what the lymph node diagnosis is - chronic lymphadenitis is a swelling of the lymph glands which can be due to a number of causes, including infection or cancer. So I'd clear up with the doctor what that part of the diagnosis means.

I'm guessing your mom will probably be advised to have a mastectomy and chemo, though again, that's just an educated guess.
