Q: I found a hard lump, the lump doesn't move around, should I be worried??

The lumop in my breast is not loose and can't move around, it is fully in place. The lump is about quarter size or so, I am on my period but I thought it was there before too, should I be worried? I was told before is the lump moves around or stays in place there is a difference, I just can't remebr which.

Rose, I don't think you should be worried.  Most breast lumps are not cancer.  However, unless this goes away after your period, you need to call it to the attention of your doctor.  You can't really tell for sure whether a lump is cancerous or not by whether is moves or doesn't move.  You can do some more reading about types of lumps at this link that may be helpful for you, but do call the doctor if this doesn't go away.
