Q: Low Vitamin D is there any connection to breast cancer?

My doctor just found out that I have very low vitamin D. I have been put on 50,000 units twice a week for 12 weeks. I have read that there is a connection between low vitamin D and breast cancer is this true?

There's no proven link between low vitamin D and breast cancer. Researchers are finding more and more ways in which vitamin D helps our health, though; so in the future, such a link might be established. For the time being, though, probably raising your vitamin D to the acceptable range is exactly what you should be doing. Good luck - PJH
