Q: Has anyone ever been able to go into remission after the breast cancer has spread to the bone?

Lori, there's always a chance you can go into remission, no matter where/how the cancer has spread. Never give up hope. I'm sure Laurie can address this more fully with you... Good luck to you - stay strong - PJH

Lori, I know several people whose treatment has worked against breast cancer that has spread to the bone (sometimes called bone mets).  The one I know best has showed no evidence of disease for over five years.  Once cancer has metastasized doctors probably wouldn't use a word like "cure," and they follow such patients very closely, but bone mets are very treatable.
