I was googling sore breasts after period.  I am 33 years old.  After stopping nuvaring, I had my period a week later.  My breasts are always swollen when I am taking birth control, but the swelling went down within a few days of stopping birth control.  They swelled again as usual when I started my period.  My period was normal flow but only lasted 4 days instead of the usual 6.  My breasts are still swollen even larger and a little sore a week after my period.  I don't know if my hormones are messed up or if I'm pregnant.  Also, my mother had iud and it fell out.  That is how she became pregnant with my younger sister. :)
